Kodiaks prepare for end of the season push
PRINCE GEORGE – The Prince George Kodiaks offensive drought came to an end this past weekend as they put up 35 points against the Valley Huskers. The only problem was the Huskers scored 35 points of their own. The Kodiaks draw with Valley did have a lot of positives to take away as the special teams unit stood up when it mattered including a punt return touchdown. Head Coach Jamie Boreham stressed that while there were some things to iron out the offenses resurgence has the team feeling optimistic heading into the final two games of the season.
“Still some some errors that are costing us too big on the scoreboard and on field position but it’s nice to see the offense get going a little bit with consistency. When we needed to score and needed to drive we were able to move the ball. But one of the biggest parts of the game and it really should be week after week is our special teams and it’s nice to see our return game step up. Our coverage was good.” said Boreham.
