UNBC TWolves soccer teams drop pair of road games
PRINCE GEORGE — It was a tough Saturday on the pitch for the UNBC Timberwolves soccer teams, dropping a pair of road games to TRU and Calgary,.
The women were down in Kamloops, falling to the WolfPack 5-0. UNBC goalkeeper Johanna Rathke added 12 more saves to her country-leading totals while Floor Ursem earned the clean sheet without having to make a save for TRU.
Rathke was called into action early, turning aside three quality looks inside the opening 10 minutes. Coming into Saturday’s match, the UNBC keeper carried a commanding 34-save cushion atop the conference saves leaderboard.
The women are back in action next weekend on Vancouver Island versus Victoria.
