QUESNEL — A pedestrian was struck and killed in Quesnel Thursday morning (Sept.25).
Quesnel RCMP Cpl. Robert Belanger says that just after 9:30 a.m. police were dispatched to a report of a shirtless man acting erratically by yelling and swinging his arms near the West Park Mall.
While en-route, police learned that the man had been struck by a logging truck at the off-ramp off North Fraser Drive and Anderson Drive. Both police and Emergency Health Services attempted life saving measures on scene, but the man was later declared dead at G.R. Baker Hospital.
The Moffat Bridge Loop was closed for four hours because of the incident. Quesnel RCMP ask anyone with information or dash cam footage to call them at (250)992-9211.
