CHILLIWACK — The Prince George Kodiaks weren’t able to close out the BC Football Conference season with a win this weekend.

They were beaten 31-28 by the Valley Huskers in Chilliwack to drop to 5-4-1 on the season. The result had no effect on the standings, as while the Vancouver Island Raiders also finished 5-4-1, the Kodiaks held the tie-breaker as they beat the Raiders in August.

The Kodiaks led 21-19 at the half at Exhibition Stadium, but they trailed 22-21 after three quarters.

They will now turn their attention to their first ever playoff game in franchise history. That game is scheduled to be played on Vancouver Island next Saturday, Oct. 11, against the second-place Westshore Rebels.
