PRINCE GEORGE — The University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) improved in two categories in the latest edition of the World University rankings.

For the fifth consecutive year, UNBC improved its scores in both the research environment pillar, which includes results from the global academic reputation survey, and the international outlook pillar, which measures international student and staff representation as well as international research collaboration.

UNBC’s international outlook continues to be its strongest area, ranking 703rd worldwide.

“This recognition speaks to the strength of UNBC’s community and the meaningful work happening across our campuses,” says UNBC Interim President Dr. Bill Owen. “From classrooms and research labs to field work and partnerships that span the globe, UNBC’s students, faculty and staff are leading change that matters.”
