PRINCE GEORGE – Approximately 100 workers from the Regional District of Fraser-Fort George have been on strike since Saturday, October 18th, following months of failed wage negotiations.

This morning, members of CUPE 1699 stopped work at 155 George St. for one day, planning to return on Thursday, October 23.

The strike impacts essential public services such as safety, waste management, water systems, and parks.

Union members are calling on regional directors to come back to the bargaining table and work towards a fair agreement that honours both the employees and the communities they serve.
