One killed, another injured after car crashes into home on Queensway

PRINCE GEORGE — One person is dead, and another was injured after a vehicle crashed into the front of a home on the 2600-block of Queensway at 2 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

Prince George RCMP say two people inside the home were not injured. The two people inside the car were removed using extrication equipment and taken to hospital where the driver succumbed to their injuries. The passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

“Given the totality of the circumstances surrounding this event, our police investigation has since been concluded and turned over to the B.C. Coroners Service. Our condolences go out to the family of the deceased,” states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

Prince George Fire Rescue estimates damages to the home totalled $50,000.
