Miracle Theatre announces new project

Prince George – Miracle Theatre is returning with it’s 11th project this spring. The annual production is a staple of community fundraising for many local causes such as supporting newly arrived Ukrainian families,a wildfire structure protection unit and establishing a seniors emergency fund. Over a decade of fundraising by Miracle Theatre has raised over $1 million and this years cause is a worthy one.

“What we are doing is we’re starting a permanent endowment fund with the Prince George Community Foundation again and it will be a fund for the Prince George Mobility Disorder Support Fund. It will be for those people who are suffering from a lot of the five big neurological disorders.” said Anne Laughlin the producer of Miracle theatre.

For Ted and Anne the announcement of the support fund was a meaningful one. Noticing alarming trends such as the regression of support as a larger majority of the population moves into vulnerable ages made the decision to make the fund an easy one.

“We’re concerned that more people we know are dealing with these conditions. It might partly have to do with these conditions coming forward as people age and as we age more of our peers are having to cope with these conditions. It just heightens awareness.” said Ted Price the Director of Miracle Theatre.

This years production will be the hit comedy Garage Sale by David King which deals with a dad selling his wife and teenagers things for a good reason with hijinx to follow. After a decade of community fundraising the duo were asked what keeps them going.

“People support what we do and it’s something we can do we can make theater happen. People can have fun and support a worthy cause at the same time. It boils down to if you can contribute in some way to make Prince George a better community, step up and do what you can. We can do theater and it turns out that we can do theater and raise money, so we just need to keep going as long as we can.” added Laughlin.

Miracle Theatre’s Garage Sale will run from March 26th to April 19th, 2026.
