Halloween fireworks show in College Heights cancelled

PRINCE GEORGE — A decades-long Halloween tradition enjoyed by thousands isn’t happening this year in Prince George.

For just the second time in four decades, the fireworks show outside College Heights Secondary School and the Halloween Haunted Journey have been cancelled.

The only other year the fireworks didn’t go forward was in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The College Heights Community Association says there were a number of factors that went into the decision and are thanking everyone for their understanding.

Organizers are hoping to bring both events back next year.
