Regional leaders renew MOU to tackle healthcare, safety, and addiction crises

PRINCE GEORGE – Representatives from all levels of government gathered in Prince George today to renew a Memorandum of Understanding to tackle the region’s most pressing challenges, including healthcare shortages, public safety, and addiction.

The updated agreement strengthens collaboration among First Nations, federal, provincial, and local leaders, ensuring a unified approach to issues spanning multiple jurisdictions. Officials say the renewed MOU will guide annual regional priorities, including expanding addiction treatment, improving healthcare staffing, enhancing public safety, and supporting economic development.
