TWolves drop Saturday games against UFV Cascades in Abbotsford

ABBOTSFORD — The UNBC Timberwolves couldn’t capitalize on their first win of the season in Abbotsford as the women’s basketball team fell 71-38 to the Fraser Valley Cascades in Saturday’s (Nov. 22) rematch.

Viktoriia Filatova was once again the bright spot for UNBC as she led the 1-8 TWolves with 14 points and five rebounds. Hazel Phillips added 11 points for UNBC at the UFV Athletic Centre.

In men’s action, UNBC was swept by Fraser Valle this weekend as they dropped a 92-71 decision last night, for their fifth loss in a row.

Isaiah Bias led the way for the TWolves with 15 points and eight assists. Haukur Davidsson (12), Justin Sunga (11) and Cairo Wells (10) also finished in the double digits., while Sunga led with seven rebounds.
