9th Ave fire causes $200K in damages

PRINCE GEORGE — A structure fire early Wednesday morning on the 1700 block of 9th Avenue caused $200,000 in damages.
Prince George Fire Rescue responded at approximately 3 a.m. to find a single-family dwelling with heavy flames and smoke coming from the back of the building.
No one was home at the time. Quick work knocked the fire down and prevented it from spreading to the neighbour’s house. The neighbours were briefly evacuated from their residents due to an abundance of caution.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
