Brink Forest Products announce shutdown
Dec 4, 2025 | 8:58 AM
PRINCE GEORGE — More tough news for the forestry sector.
Brink Forest Products has announced a temporary shutdown beginning December 11, 2025.
Owner John Brink says 75-100 employees across the company’s operations in Prince George, Vanderhoof, and Houston will be affected.
Brink attributes the shutdown to U.S. tariffs, provincial forest policy, and a lack of fibre. He says the company will revisit the decision early in 2026 – noting he’s hoping for some “clarity.”
