Cougars double up on Rockets, 4-2

KELOWNA — The Prince George Cougars defeated the Kelowna Rockets 4-2 Wednesday night in Kelowna before 4,247 fans at Prospera Place.

Brock Souch’s seventh marker of the year early in the second period ended up being the game winner. Other Cougar goals were scored by Carson Carels, Dmitri Yakutsenak, and Jett Lajoie.

The Cougars outshot the Rockets 39-32 with Joshua Ravensbergen picking up the win in net for Prince George.

With the win, Prince George improves to 18-8 – good for top spot in the WHL’s B.C. Division.
