Cougars beat Victoria in OT

VICTORIA — Carson Carels scored 24 seconds into overtime Sunday to lead the Prince George Cougars to a 4-3 victory over the Victoria Royals.
Kooper Gizowski, Townes Kozicky, and Brock Souch scored the other goals for the Cougars who outshot the hosts, 29-28. Joshua Ravensbergen picked up the win in net.
The win improved the Cougars record to 20-8 – good for first place in the WHL’s B.C. Division.
The Cats are back on the ice on Friday when they host the Kamloops Blazers.
