Cougars trade forward to Red Deer

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars have traded forward Patrick Sopiarz to the Red Deer Rebels in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick and a conditional 2029 fourth-round pick.

The 17-year-old appeared in 29 games with the Cougars this season, and record two goals and an assist.

Sopiarz was originally selected by the Cougars in the third round of the 2022 WHL Prospects Draft.

The Cougars return to action this Wednesday when they visit the Penticton Vees.
