RCMP provide update to sexual assault investigation

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: Prince George RCMP say through the course of their investigation that the individuals first identified as suspects in this case were not the ones they were looking for.

Police say the investigation remains ongoing adding updates will be provided as they become available.

Investigators want to reiterate that this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no increased risk to the public. 

Earlier (Jan.8): Prince George RCMP is seeking the public’s help in identifying two potential suspects in a sexual assault investigation.

Police say the incident took place on October 30, 2025, at a residence in Prince George. Through the investigation, police have obtained video surveillance images of the two suspects, who are believed to be associated with a small white car and a small black SUV-type vehicle.

“We are releasing these images to the public in the hopes that someone is able to identify these individuals and help us determine their whereabouts,” states Corporal Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

Police believe this to be an isolated incident with no further risk to the public.

Due to the nature of the investigation, police will not be providing any further information.
