Rebels edge Cougars, 3-2

PRINCE GEORGE — Patrick Sopiarz scored with just over three minutes left in the third period to lead the Red Deer Rebels to a 3-2 win over the Prince George Cougars at the CN Centre Tuesday night (Feb.3).

Brock Souch and Carson Carels scored for the Cougars while Poul Andersen and Cameron Kuzma had the other goals for the visitors.

Prince George outshot Red Deer 29-26 with Alexander Levshyn taking the loss in net before 2,954 fans.

The Cougars are back on the ice Friday night when they host the Kelowna Rockets.
