PRINCE GEORGE — This year’s Sirens Cup raised over $16,500 – a record amount.

The game pitted Prince George Fire Rescue versus Prince George RCMP at Kopar Memorial Arena on January 31. Prince George Fire Rescue came out on top, 6-3, though the real winners were the two beneficiaries – Cops for Cancer Tour de North and the Prince George Firefighters Charitable Society.

“While we are a little saddened to have lost the round this year, the real focus of the game is raising money for two great charities,” says Cpl. Jennifer Cooper, Media Relations Officer for the Prince George RCMP.

“We are all very glad to be able to give back to the communities we serve in such a fun and positive way, while engaging in a friendly competition at the same time.”
