Over 60-year-old weather record falls in Prince George

PRINCE GEORGE — A weather record was set in Prince George on Thursday (Feb.5).
Environment and Climate Change Canada says the city hit a high of 11.7 degrees Celsius, breaking the previous high of 10 degrees Celsius set back in 1963.
It was actually warmer in Prince George on Wednesday when the City hit a high of 12 degrees Celsius, though that wasn’t warm enough to break the previous record of 14.4 degrees Celsius set in 1991.
Environment and Climate Change Canada says the warm weather hasn’t been contained to Prince George, with 17 communities breaking records on Thursday.
