PRINCE GEORGE – Low blood pressure may seem concerning, but health experts say it’s not always cause for alarm. A local pharmacist is working to clarify when low readings are normal and when they might indicate a more serious issue.

Blood pressure readings are typically expressed as 120 over 80, but a measurement that falls significantly below this level can raise concerns.

However, health experts point out that relying solely on numbers doesn’t provide the complete picture. Some individuals naturally have lower blood pressure and feel perfectly fine.

Issues can arise when low blood pressure is associated with dizziness or fainting. However, health experts caution that these symptoms don’t always stem exclusively from high blood pressure.
