PRINCE GEORGE — Zain Xavier Wood was sentenced to life in prison without parole eligibility for 25 years Friday in Prince George Supreme Court (Feb.13).
The judge said Wood’s killing of Isabelle Thomas was “extremely aggravated, even within the confines of first-degree murder.”
Wood cased the 22-year-old Thomas’s Alpine Village townhouse in July 2023. On July 18 he entered Thomas’s home, went upstairs and stabbed her to death in front of her six-year-old daughter.
Wood is banned for life of possessing any firearms, and is also prohibited from communicating with the victim’s relatives.
