MACKENZIE, B.C. — Drivers are being warned of hazardous traveling conditions north of Prince George Sunday (Feb. 22).
Environment Canada issued a blowing snow advisory for Highway 97 through Pine Pass and the communities of Mackenzie and McLeod Lake.
The weather agency says an Arctic front pushing through the Rockies will bring strong, gusty northerly winds while an upper front will bring snow. Combined, the two systems will result in visibility of less than 500 metres on the road.
Environment Canada says conditions are expected to improve Sunday night as the winds diminish and the snow eases.
