MOOSE JAW, SASK. — Make it two wins in two games for the Prince George Cougars on their East Division road trip as they beat the Moose Jaw Warriors 4-2 Saturday (Feb. 21) night.

The result is win number 216 for general manager and head coach Mark Lamb, who ties Ed Dempsey for the most wins in Prince George Cougars history.

Carson Carels, Arsenii Anisimov, Kooper Gizowski, and Dmitri Yakutsenak scored for the Cougars, while Joshua Ravensbergen stopped 24 of 26 shots to earn the win.

It was the Warriors who opened the scoring at Temple Gardens Centre as Casey Brown beat Ravensbergen after Landen McFadden found him on a 2-on-0 breakaway just 70 seconds into the game.

The Cougars came out of that period with a 2-1 lead after goals from Carels and Anisimov. Carels wired home his 17th of the season at 6:37 to tie the game, and they took the lead after a point shot from Anisimov at 11:15 found its way Dylan Mingo. Mingo made 36 saves on 39 shots in the loss.

While McFadden restored parity just past the four minute mark in the second, Gizowki scored his 26th of the season at 5:51 to put the Cougars in front for good. Yakutsenak made sure of the result with an empty net goal scored at 18:52 of the third period.

Lamb and the Cougars will look to keep the wining ways going on Tuesday (Feb. 24) in Brandon against the Wheat Kings. Puck drop is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. PT.
