PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire in the 1800 block of Sommerville Road early this morning (Feb.23).
Crews responded at approximately 2:30 a.m. to find fire on one half of the structure and heavy smoke issuing from the eaves.
“Thanks to a rapid response and coordinated efforts of firefighters, the fire was successfully mitigated, limiting damage to neighbouring properties,” said the City.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and damage is estimated at approximately $300,000. No injuries were reported.
