Local journalist sentenced in Prince George Provincial Court

PRINCE GEORGE — Local journalist Cheryl Jahn pleaded not guilty to one charge of impaired operation of a motor vehicle in Prince George Provincial Court today (Feb.25) in relation to an incident that occurred in Prince George on July 11th of last year.

She instead pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention. The Court imposed a $2,000 fine along with a victim surcharge of $300. The court also imposed a probation order for a term of 12 months.

Jahn has worked as a journalist in northern B.C. for three decades including the last 25 years at CKPG.
