Information session to be held Thursday as RCMP looking for new recruits in Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE — Prince George RCMP is hosting a career information session this Thursday (March 5) where prospective recruits will be able to see if a career in policing is right for them.
The hour-long information session will get underway at 6:00 p.m. in the Prince George RCMP Detachment at 455 Victoria Street. Registration is required, and people are asked to bring their photo identification and arrive by 5:45 p.m.
According to the RCMP, attendees at the information session will hear first-hand from members of the Prince George Detachment. There will be details about the RCMP’s recruiting process, including the requirements and expectations of candidates.
“Joining the RCMP has proved to be a very rewarding experience for my personal and professional growth,” Prince George RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said. “I have always looked forward to becoming a police officer and I am glad I was able to join this organization because the opportunities are truly endless.”
