Cougars clinch fifth-consecutive WHL playoff berth with 5-1 win over Chiefs
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars have officially clinched a playoff berth for the fifth consecutive season.
The Cougars punched their ticket to the post-season after a convincing 5-1 win over the Spokane Chiefs Friday (March 6) night at the CN Centre.
Aiden Foster, Dawson Seitz, Kooper Gizowski, Brock Souch, and Terik Parascak all scored for Prince George, while goaltender Josh Ravensbergen made 28 saves, 13 of which came during a busy second period.
Goals from Foster and Seitz had Prince George up 2-0 after one period of hockey, as the pair found a way to get pucks past Carter Esler, who finished with 22 saves on 27 shots.
