Spruce Kings fall 5-2 to Powell River

POWELL RIVER — The Prince George Spruce Kings lost 5-2 to the Powell River Kings in Powell River Thursday night.

Ryan Wachtel (21) and Ben Vreugdenhill (10) had the goals for Prince George, who were outshot 37-31.

Despite the loss, Prince George is still in first place in the BCHL’s Coastal East division, eight points up on Coquitlam, who have one game in hand.

The Spruce Kings play Powell River again tonight (Friday) and visit the Alberni Valley Bulldogs tomorrow night (Saturday).
