Ravensbergen shuts out Wild as Cougars win 40 games for third consecutive season
PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars have reached the 40-win mark for the third consecutive WHL season.
The Cats 1-0 decision over the Wenatchee Wild Friday (March 13) night at the CN Centre.
Josh Ravensbergen made 17 saves for his fourth shutout of the season to become the first netminder to reach the 30 win mark. Ravensbergen also leads all WHL goaltenders in save percentage at 0.918.
Dmitri Yakutsenak scored the only goal of the game when he tipped in a Carson Carels point shot past Cal Conway at 13:10 of the opening period. Conway stopped the other 30 shots he faced to earn first-star honours on the night.
