No injuries reported as repairs continue after Saturday gas leak in Prince George
PRINCE GEORGE — No injuries have been reported, but the City of Prince George says people in the Heritage area who were displaced by yesterday’s (March 14) gas leak aren’t able to return home just yet.
In an updated statement, the city says residents of units 101–109 at 448 Tabor Boulevard can return home to collect some belongings, but they won’t be able to stay as their building does not have heat.
“Emergency Support Services will continue to support affected residents until they are able to return to their homes,” the city said, noting impacted residents can call 250-614-7838 to arrange accommodation.
Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a house in the 300 block of Carrier Place around 2:11 p.m. Saturday following reports about the smell of gas.
