PRINCE GEORGE – The 2024 Budget included $21 million in capital funding for an enhanced wildfire equipment depot in Prince George. That depot will be operational for the 2026 wildfire season. Plus many of the sales lost by alcohol are getting picked up by cannabis and the cannabis industry continues to see year-over-year growth. And the City has sent a letter to the province to express their support for continued and expanded provincial funding for the BC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Coupon Program.
