Proposed six-storey development could bring new homes and preserve Studio 2880
PRINCE GEORGE – Prince George city council is about to review a major zoning change that could add new housing and help preserve a local arts hub.
A city-owned property on 15th Avenue may soon become a six-storey, mixed-use building. City staff suggest changing the zoning from institutional to mid-rise residential, which would allow up to 45 apartments.
The plan would also keep space for Studio 2880, so it could continue offering art classes, markets, and a podcast studio in the new building.
City planners say the project aligns with growth goals and adds much-needed housing, all of which are close to transit and other amenities.
