Spruce Kings clinch division title

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings clinched the BCHL’s Coastal East division title by defeating the Coquitlam Express 5-2 Sunday afternoon at Kopar Memorial Arena.

It’s the team’s first divisional title since 2018 and they’ll meet the Langley Rivermen in the first round of the playoffs.

Dracen Campbell, Ryan Wachtel, Ben Vreugdenhill, Tai Ushio, and Spencer Masters had the goals for Prince George.

The Spruce Kings outshot the Express 28-23 before 1,508 fans. The Spruce Kings are back on the ice this Friday night in Langley.
