Man struck by truck while trying to help trapped driver after B.C. highway crash
WILLIAMS LAKE — Police in Williams Lake, say a man is dead after stopping to help a truck driver who had become trapped following a crash on Highway 20 on Wednesday evening.
Williams Lake RCMP say a 49-year-old man had stopped at the scene of a crash between two semi-trucks on the highway.
Mounties say the man was trying to help get one of the drivers out of the commercial vehicle after becoming trapped, and the second semi-truck “became dislodged” and hit the man.
Police say he died of his injuries.
