Cougars take Game 1 vs Chiefs

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Cougars defeated the Spokane Chiefs Friday night 6-3 to take Game 1 of their first round playoff series.

Brock Souch led the way for Prince George scoring two goals while Aiden Foster, Terik Parascak, Arsenni Anisimov, and Bauer Dumanski scored the goals for Prince George before 5,469 fans at the CN Centre.

The Cougars scored first but the Chiefs followed that up with three goals of their own to lead 3-1 after the first period.

But it was all Prince George from there on out as the Cats scored five unanswered goals. The Cougars outshot the Chiefs 47-22 with Joshua Ravensbergen picking up the win in net. The Cougars were powered by three power-play goals. They went 3 for 5 on the night while the Chiefs went 1 for three.
