Spruce Kings take 3-2 win over Rivermen

PRINCE GEORGE — The Prince George Spruce Kings opened their last weekend of regular season play on a high note with a 3-2 win over the Langley Rivermen on Friday (March 27).

The Spruce Kings earned a 2-1 lead by the end of the second period, before the game was tied up by a third period goal by Rivermen defenseman Reinis Auzins.

One minute later, right winger River Arnason scored the third goal for the Spruce Kings, securing their victory.

Goaltender Cody Arnold blocked 33 of 35 shots on net, while the Rivermen’s Maverick Avent stopped 24 of 27 shots from the Spruce Kings.
