Spruce Kings wrap up regular season on winning note

SOUTH SURREY — The Prince George Spruce Kings beat the Surrey Eagles 5-1 on Sunday before 724 fans at the South Surrey Arena.

Cooper Faughnan scored twice for the Spruce Kings while Tai Ushio, Ben Vreugdenhil, and Ozbej Rep had the other goals.

Prince George outshot the hosts 34-27 and wrapped up their regular season with a 34-17-3 record.

The Spruce Kings have their sights set on the Langley Rivermen now, who they’ll host in Game 1 of their first round playoff series this Friday night at 7 p.m. at Kopar Memorial Arena.
