PRINCE GEORGE – Bail bill C-14 became law on Monday, the legislation makes it more difficult to get bail for a variety of crimes, including some vehicle thefts, extortion and human trafficking offences. Plus city staff is holding a tour of Kopar Memorial Arena Wednesday “for those curious on the condition of the arena”, after Mayor Simon Yu requested city staff come back to council with a report looking at the costs of operating, maintaining and/or renovating Kopar. And graduation season has arrived, bringing significant safety concerns for Prince George families. Police are already addressing complaints about parties, fires, and dangerous activities.
