PRINCE GEORGE – 3 year old Prince George boy Mavrik Turnbull has been battling cancer for nearly two years. Recently, Mavrik has recently been moved to Canuck Place Children’s Hospice in Vancouver. Since moving to hospice, the hockey community has showed up in force to show their support for Mavrik and his family. Plus the former Knights Inn in downtown Prince George will be no more by July of next year, if everything goes to plan. And looking to boost local food security, the City of Prince George has officially adopted a food charter.
