Downtown’s tastiest tradition is back on the menu

PRINCE GEORGE – Today is the start of this year’s Foodie Fridays, a summer event with food trucks, entertainment, and community activities in downtown Prince George.

The event takes place every Friday in July, on July 3, 10, 17, 24, and 31, and continues on August 7 and August 28.

Foodie Fridays brings people together downtown and helps everyone enjoy summer. The event has been a local favourite for years, running before the pandemic and now returning. This year, six food vendors will take part, giving local food trucks a chance to connect with customers and offer different dining options.

Foodie Fridays is organized with Tourism Prince George and the downtown market, which takes place at the same time. Each week brings something new, like live entertainment from DJs and local musicians.

Most Foodie Fridays run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., but there will be a special evening event on July 19th called “Soccer Spectacular.” This after-work event goes from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and leads up to a FIFA watch party on July 19. The evening will feature three local bands, food trucks, the market, a bike valet, and support from BCLC.

Organizers are excited to offer a bigger evening event this year and to keep downtown lively for residents and visitors.
