City of Prince George unveils busy summer lineup of family-friendly events
PRINCE GEORGE — Residents looking for ways to make the most of summer will have no shortage of options as the City of Prince George rolls out a packed schedule of family-friendly events at parks and public spaces throughout the season.
From live music and outdoor movies to food truck gatherings and a FIFA World Cup watch party, city officials say the lineup is designed to bring the community together while showcasing local entertainment, businesses, and recreation opportunities.
One of the summer’s signature events, Foodie Fridays, returns to Canada Games Plaza at 808 Canada Games Way throughout July and August. Visitors can sample offerings from a variety of local food trucks, browse vendors at the Nanguz’An Container Market, and take advantage of free year-round skating, games, and live entertainment.
Foodie Fridays will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 10, 24, and 31, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on July 17, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Aug. 7 and 28.
