Parkwood site to host health services
PRINCE GEORGE – Northern Health says that people who use public health and family practice services in Prince George will still get care when these services move to Parkwood Mall in 2026.
This move is part of the University Hospital of Northern BC’s expansion and will make room to build a new acute care tower.
Northern Health says that services now offered at the Northern Interior Health Unit and the John G. McKenzie Family Practice Centre will move to Parkwood Mall in late summer 2026, after the Early Works phase of the project is finished.
Once the move happens, both services will work together under a new name: the Prince George Community Health Centre.
