Prince George firefighters quickly contain residential blaze on Kellogg Avenue
PRINCE GEORGE — Firefighters responded to a residential structure fire on Kellogg Avenue on the evening of July 11, successfully containing the blaze and preventing it from spreading beyond the immediate area.
According to Prince George Fire Rescue, crews from three fire halls were dispatched to the 1300 block of Kellogg Avenue just before 9 p.m. after reports of a fire at a single-family home.
When firefighters arrived on scene, they discovered light smoke coming from the front of the residence. Crews quickly assessed the situation and launched an attack on the fire, bringing it under control in a short period of time.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze before it spread further through the structure. Crews also conducted checks to ensure there was no hidden fire extension into other parts of the building, helping to minimize the overall damage.
