Structure fire on corner of Milburn and Quince

PRINCE GEORGE — Update: The City estimates the fire caused $300,000 in damage.

Earlier: The City of Prince George has released more details on this afternoon’s fire.

In a statement, the City says “Crews from three halls arrived before 2 p.m. to find one half of a duplex fully involved in fire. Quick work from crews prevented the spread of the fire to the other half of the structure.”

The City says crews remain on site and will continue to monitor for hotspots. More information will be provided as soon as it is available.

Earlier: Prince George Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire just before 2 p.m. at a home located at the corner of Milburn Avenue and Quince Street today (July 14).

The home suffered substantial fire damage though the cause is unknown at this time. No word on any possible injuries.
