PRINCE GEORGE — The City of Prince George is experiencing a server outage that is affecting operations at all City facilities, including City Hall and the 18th Avenue Yard.

According to a media release issued Wednesday, the outage is disrupting phone services, email communications and network-related applications across City sites. As a result, calls and emails sent to the City’s Service Centre are currently not being received.

Residents attempting to contact the Service Centre through 311 or by email are being asked to be patient while technical staff work to resolve the issue. The City says service requests can still be submitted through its website or the City of PG mobile app. However, those requests will not be received or reviewed until the outage has been fixed.

The disruption is expected to impact a range of City services that rely on internal computer systems and communications networks.

City officials have not provided a timeline for when service will be fully restored but say staff are working to resolve the problem as quickly as possible.

The City says additional information will be shared as it becomes available.

In the meantime, residents are encouraged to monitor City communication channels for updates regarding the outage and the restoration of services.
