Acting Officer in Charge of E Division Major Crime, Superintendent Bal Hansra, says investigators never gave up on finding answers for Clement’s family and friends.

“For nearly eight years, our investigators have remained committed to seeking answers in Rodney Clement’s death,” Hansra said in a statement. “This charge reflects the dedication and perseverance of those involved in the investigation and our ongoing commitment to pursuing justice for victims and their loved ones.”

Police have not released additional details about the circumstances surrounding Clement’s death or Fralic’s arrest.

The charge marks a significant development in a case that remained unsolved for years and highlights the continuing work of major crime investigators on cold and complex homicide investigations throughout the province.

Fralic is expected to appear before the courts to answer the charge. As with all criminal cases, the allegation has not been proven in court.
