Charge laid in 2018 Quesnel Homicide
QUESNEL — A Quesnel man has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of a local resident nearly eight years ago.
The BC Prosecution Service has approved a charge against 54-year-old Shane Edison Fralic in the 2018 homicide of 31-year-old Rodney Clement.
Police say Clement was dropped off at G.R. Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel on November 8, 2018, suffering from significant injuries. He later died from those injuries, and investigators determined his death was the result of foul play.
Since then, the RCMP’s E Division Major Crime Special Projects Unit has continued to investigate the case with support from Quesnel RCMP, North District Major Crime and a number of specialized police units from across British Columbia.
