Cougars drop first game to Oil Kings as part of pre-season weekend in Tumbler Ridge

TUMBLER RIDGE, B.C. — The Prince George Cougars dropped the first of their two Western Hockey League (WHL) pre-season games in Tumbler Ridge. 

The Cats were shut out by the Edmonton Oil Kings 6-0 Friday (Sept. 4). A scoring summary was not provided by the WHL online. 

As part of the WHL pre-season weekend, the District of Tumbler Ridge says players from the Cougars and Oil Kings will be signing autographs and meeting fans from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday (Sept. 5) at the Tumbler Ridge Fairgrounds. 

The second game between the Cougars and Oil Kings takes place Sunday at noon from the Tumbler Ridge Community Centre.
