Young, Dandeau lead Canada past China 66-62 at women’s wheelchair basketball worlds
OTTAWA — Canada slipped past China 66-62 on Saturday at the women’s world wheelchair basketball championship in Ottawa.
Arinn Young made a two-pointer with 1:10 left to play for a one-point lead and then Kady Dandeau added three points in the final 18 seconds of the game to secure the win for Canada.
Dandeau had a double-double with a game-high 37 points and 10 rebounds for Canada (3-0), adding six assists and a steal.
Young finished with a triple-double, with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.
