Sally Ann Kettle Campaign Fundraising Falls Short

PRINCE GEORGE — The results are in, and it was a challenging year for the Prince George Salvation Army’s annual kettle campaign.
Business manager Bill Glasgow says they raised $221,057 this holiday season – well short of its $250,000 goal.
“It’s the lowest total since 2013 when we raised $191,000,” he says. “It’s due to volunteerism possibly. Some of the volunteers on our list just weren’t available this year.”
Moving forward, Glasgow says they may need to do a better job responding to millennials, this despite the fact they did have one kettle that operated a debit machine this year.
